im writing this review while breastfeeding on my boppy. Id like to compliment my nice looking bassinet. Its not flamboyant in color but it blends well with its surrounding esp. with my plants. it seems like most of the toys and clothing i got from my baby showert are filled with bright colors so we decided to tone it down with this one.



Graco's Montreal Bassinet is convenient for me. My newborn is barely 2-weeks so its nice to move her around in the bassinet from one room to another. my back is already aching a bit so the wheels help a bit.



she sleeps on the bassinet mostly in the morning when i roll it in our living room. At night, she sleeps longer beside me. i dont want it to be that way but i just go with the flow. hopefully she'll sleep better at night in the bassinet.



the mattress is alright. it has ridges and very firm so i suppose my babe can feel the difference from our mattress to the bassinet.



overall--its a space spacer. we have her diapers, wipes, foldable changing pad under the bassinet's compartments. i really like this feature and there's no need to go back into the room to get thpose supplies. i'm stocked!



my babe was born 6.3 lbs. graco's bassinet fits her fine. it'll probably last] us 3 months+, but its worth it. its ultra small when you fold it for storage. i can use it for my next babe, regardless if its a boy or a girl

I've gotten a lot of use out of this so far, and my baby is only 7 weeks old. It was definitely worth the money. I was going to get a pack n play, but I saw this online and ordered it instead, because its 20% smaller than a standard PNP. So it takes up less room and I don't have to fold it up to fit through doorways. Its very light but sturdy. The first couple of weeks I was alternating it between the living room & the bedroom, and I could easily carry it up the stairs while fully assembled. Now I leave it in the living room. It looks cute, and I love the storage shelves to keep diapers, wipes, clothes and a bunch of other stuff in. I also like that it plays a variety of sounds & has the nightlight, and I haven't had to change the batteries yet. I didn't hook up the vibration unit. Honestly, I couldn't figure out where to put it, and I didn't plan on using it anyway. Other than that, it was really easy to assemble initally, and to fold up and travel with. Most importantly, my son sleeps soundly in it.

Our child is 7 months old now - and we love so many things about this traveller - it is lightweight, I feel that she is very safe in it, it looks cool, and can use indoors and outdoors.



However, I agree with so many of the other reviews - two main issues with this:

1) It takes longer to try to get it all in the carry bag than it takes to break it down. The bag should really be bigger - it is quite the ordeal to stuff it all in - that is annoying when we are trying to leave a place.

2)It really is a problem that the vinyl doesn't have a cover - I tried to put a sheet down, but it slides all to one side once she starts moving. The vinyl wakes her up at times when she moves on it - it is loud for her.



Having said that, I am still glad we decided on this item rather than a bulky pack-n-play.



I think if the company could address these two main issues- somehow get a sheet cover that is safe and works well and make a bigger carry bag - then this would be the traveller crib to get.

I have twins and decided to try ordering both a PeaPod travel bed with self-inflating mattress and this Phil and Ted's traveller travel cot for my fifteen month old twins that are very tall(outgrowing traditional pack and play/play yard). The PeaPod was much easier to assemble and over half the price, although if you want an open top similar to a crib, pick the Phil and Ted's travel bed - the PeaPod is more like a closed tent.



My kids love the PeaPod so far because I have allowed them to play in it and given them play time in our home to get them more comfortable with it. I could only find one PeaPod color (camo blue, not my favorite at first) that comes with a self-inflating mattress, but the color is nice and dark for sleepy toddlers. I have to admit that I am disappointed with the Phil and Ted traveller because I don't like that the mattress has to be zippered in a nylon sleeve and the expectation is that the baby/toddler sleeps on Nylon by this company. One of the reviews on another site recommended inserting a comforter or blanket in the bottom for the baby/toddler to sleep on. For the money that I paid for this item, shouldn't a form fitted washable child pad of some sort be a part of what I purchased? The PeaPod came with a "sleeping blanket" that is very thin, shaped to the size of the product and washable. I have no idea yet what I am going to put at the bottom of this P&T's travel bed to try to convince my toddlers that it is even close to their own crib! I will update my review if I find a way to make the bottom of the P&T travel bed comfortable and safe for one of the twins.



Update: I did not put the mattress in the sleeve of P&T travel bed as instructed. I just put it inside, and used a matress pad and crib sheets over it from their regular crib. This worked well... Cautionary note - This would probably not be an alternative for babies under 1 year. After using both types of beds for several different vacations, either one will work, but the P&T more closely resembles a smaller, more portable version of a real crib. It is more difficult to put together but it is made to be extremely sturdy. It is also more expensive, but my kids had an easier time adapting to it when we were away from home. If money is a concern, the peapod is an excellent option too (use your matress pad and crib sheets from your home), but you need to convince your kids that it is a great tent to sleep in. If money is no object, no need to convince toddlers of anything, the Phil and Teds travel crib is sturdy, and easier for a child to adapt to when away from home.

We bought this item to replace our old Phil & teds travel cot model - the main feature that we liked was the side zip opening (seems more practical to us for younger babies). It is very sturdy and takes up a little less floor space due to the design. It doesn't pack up quite as compact but still a much better option than the bulky pack n plays out there. We are very pleased.



There a couple negatives - our 2.5 year old son was able to unzip the side opening from the inside (he hasn't slept in a travel crib for at least a year, so it wasn't too much of a bother to us), he was just "testing" it out.



The other downside is zip sleeve opening in the bottom for the mattress. Although very well meaning, I don't like that you are then laying baby directly onto the nylon material, we have always put a normal crib size sheet over the mattress on our old model and will continue to do so with this one despite that feature.

This is a really great play yard that is safe, strong and stable. I did a lot of research in search of a suitable "containment" area for my busy one year old and am really pleased with this choice. This thing is built super strong and I like that it does not have a weight limit, unlike my Graco Pack n' Play's 30lb limit. My son is now almost two and the Room 2 really does provide a large and safe play area for when I am trying to get that time in to clean up around the house and cook dinner. It is spacious enough to put several toddlers in it at the same time and because it is bigger my son seems to tolerate playing in it for longer periods of time. It is also very easy to set-up and collapse down since I mostly use it on the weekends. Yes, it is heavier than the Pack n' Play, but I also know I will get several more years of use out of this play yard with a rough and tumble growing boy. So, keep the Pack n' Play for portability and trips out to grandma's house, but get the Joovy Room 2 for every day use in and around the house.

This is the large-sized play yard that I have been waiting for. My first child never liked playing in her pack and play because there was really not enough space for her to move around and play in and I couldn't fit both her and several of her favorite toys in it. With my second child, I decided to try and find a larger play yard to see if that would work because I needed somewhere safe for her to play while I was cooking supper or cleaning. This is a waste of money if you have a large baby like mine. The bassinet only holds up to 15lbs and once baby outgrows bassinet you've now lost all the cool sounds, light, vibration. My baby outgrew the top portion at 2 1/2 months! I could have easily just got a smaller and cheaper one without all the bells in whistles.



Pro's: Lot's of space, cute, great for travel shade to avoid the light hitting their face, surprisingly comfy, easy to put together (and yes even back in the bag), LOVE the changing table, love the vibration, easy to tote around too.



Con's: Easily outgrew bassinet, big for small places, wide for door ways (set it up where you'll need it), not cheap, and you can't remove the shade.

We purchased this bassinet and are getting a lot of use out of it. We have it set up on our first floor while our baby's room is on the second floor which allows us to change her diaper without going upstairs and set her down while we do dishes, etc. Our baby loves the vibrating aspect of this product. We loved that it can serve many purposes, will be useful as she grows, looks cute, and had the potential to be portable (take to grandma's house, vacation home, etc.).



Our problem with this product is that setting it up the first couple of times went fine but are now having problems to the point that we're afraid that if we break it down we won't be able to set it back up, defeating the purpose of it being portable. We may have a defective product and if I kept the box, I would try and exchange it for another.



When you set it up, the four side bars are folded in half, you take two parallel sides by the middle handles, lift up, hear it click and they lock in place. Then you do the same with the last two parallel sides. After breaking this product down and setting it up a couple of times, we are having difficulty getting the sides to lock and are finding ourselves wrestling with it, getting one side to lock, moving to the other side and watch it fall a part again. Frustrating to say the least. Again, it might just be a bit of a lemon but I'd save the box until you've set it up a half a dozen times. I generally keep a box until a product has shown to work the first time but regret that I didn't keep it longer in this case.

My husband and I originally were going to put our daughter in her crib at night as soon as we came home. The changed after our daughter was born and she spent 6 weeks sleeping in the bassinet of her pack n play on our room. We have 2 kitties and they wanted to get in the bassinet with her. We ordered this and had it overnighted and it did EXACTLY what we needed. It kept the kitties out. It is also great for using outside and keeping the bugs out of the pack n play. It was easy to assemble and disassemble. I HIGHLY recommend it for anyone who needs to keep pets out of a pack n play.

We bought this tent to put on our pack and play so we'd have a safe place for our son to sleep while we traveled. It's easy to put together and fit well on our pack in play. It kept him safe inside the playard during naps, he was unable to get out. We could still use our video monitor and see him while he slept.

We were expecting our second baby when we decided to put our 2 year old in a big boy bed. This became a huge hassle every night as he would get out of bed and play all night instead of sleeping. After two months of trying every tactic to get him to stay in bed and our baby soon coming we decided try something different. I surfed the net and found this tent, we already had the Greco playpen and I thought this might work. We all needed our sleep and what we were trying was not working so we after reading all the reviews we decided to give the tent a try. OH MY GOSH!!!! We set up his playpen and put the tent on (inserting the poles was a little difficult) and after 20 minutes of crying our 2 year old was fast asleep. He only cried (threw a huge fit) the first night for 20 minutes but was fine every night after that. Then if we left it open he requested that we zip it up or if we tried the big boy bed again he would climb back into is playpen. We did have a time when our little Houdini figured out how to take the clips off then we just used zip ties to secure it on the playpen no more escapes. Friends would say are you worried that he will never get used to a big boy bed and I would say no. He is only 2 now if he is 5 and still not sleeping in a bed then I might start to worry. He is now almost three and sleeping in his big boy bed with no problems. This tent was a life saver for us and well worth the money. As one of my friends said work smarter not harder. This worked smarter!!!!

We looked everywhere for a solution to keeping our two cats out of the baby's Graco pack n' play bassinet. The Tots in Mind Playard Tent appears to be the only item on the market that fits this need. We put the tent together last night with little difficulty. I was worried about the material quality issues that others have mentioned in their reviews, but was quite pleased with the components and the finished product. We had no issues with snagged mesh, splintered rods or ripped pocket seams. The zipper is adequate.



Our problems with the Playard Tent is the same that others have mentioned. The clips are not large enough to fit over the Graco clip on bassinet feature. The height of the tent does not allow for the mobile to be used. The curved ends of the pack n' play model will not accommodate the tent clips. We're thinking of returning the pack n' play model we have for a more basic version with square ends and no mobile. At least then the tent will securely clip to the two end sides.



I really wish the industry's leading playard manufacturer, Graco, would come up with their own branded tent solution. Pets have become an integral part of a family's home. There is a huge market for keeping baby and pets safe.

My son was getting out of his crib. I have to wait a week until I get the crib tent but found the pack n play tent at a store. I got it thinking I could use it at the pool and use it until I got the one for the crib a in week. With in one day my son could unclip the clips so he could climb out on what ever side he had unclipped or he would just unclip them all. One time when he did only unclip one side his head got stuck as he was trying to get out and he was just hanging there. Thank God I walked in when I did. I am very sad because I am a single mom and I do not sleep because he is getting out out bed all night long and will not take naps now. Maybe the one for the crib will work better. I just hope it does not have the clips and they use something else to hold it on. If anyone has used the one for the crib please let me know if they still use clips with that one as well. Thanks
